Marshall Tucker Band
Another great Southern Rock band is the Marshall Tucker Band from Spartanburg, South Carolina. They had a string of hit songs in the 1970's. The Marshall Tucker Band?s original line-up came to an end when bassist Tommy Caldwell died in a jeep accident in 1980. Toy, a key member and chief songwriter in the band, would form his own group in 1988, but died from a heart attack in 1993.[1] Someone looked at the tag on the key and it said "Marshall Tucker" and it was suggested they call themselves the Marshall Tucker Band, not knowing it was a real person's name. Because it was time to go to dinner and everyone was hungry they said "sounds great" and the rest is history.[2] Search below and on this site for hundreds of Southern Rock Music, Memorabila, Photos, Videos and Collectibles.
